Odone Belluzzi (1892–1956) was a largely self-taught scientist who served as a professor of construction science at the University of Bologna from 1931 to 1956. Known for being a rigorous teacher, Belluzzi was deeply connected to the practicalities of engineering, famously predicting the geological instability of the "Autostrada del Sole" route.
