The most reliable source for is the official manufacturer’s support website (Simrad Yachting, now part of Navico/Brunswick). If the version is no longer hosted on the main site due to the age of the hardware, authorized service centers or reputable marine electronics forums may provide access to the archive.
Many automation distributors keep archives for their maintenance customers. Call and ask for “legacy firmware for XBT L1000.” Provide your service contract number if available.
