Music is a massive driver of video views in Indonesia. Dangdut , a genre of Indonesian folk and traditional popular music, has evolved into Dangdut Koplo —a faster, digitized version featuring heavy percussion. Videos of live performances, localized street dances, and acoustic covers of pop songs with a traditional Javanese or Sundanese twist regularly accumulate tens of millions of views within days of release. 4. Indonesian audiences possess a deep curiosity about the personal lives of their favorite stars. This has given rise to the gerebek format, where a host unexpectedly visits a celebrity’s mansion to tour their home, check their luxury cars, and peek inside their refrigerators. Similarly, daily family vlogging channels that document everything from morning routines to family vacations enjoy massive, loyal viewerships. 4. Horor (Ghost Hunting and Mysticism)

Interesting. I'm also blocked and I'm using Google's DNS and not Virgin Media's. A simple VPN service can still access Pirate Bay as predicted.
Argh, me hearties and shiver me timbers. I hope it doesn't happen in Australia. I'd never be able to "evaluate" anything.
Its a terrible move, I'm disguised by the UK corurts and the government/s who helped/allowed this to happen.

Italy routinely blocks gambling sites which are not registered with the state gambling monopoly (http://www.aams.gov.it) … which would appear to violate the spirit of free commerce within the EU.

I’m another person who thinks it’s a terrible decision by the court. It won’t make a dent in piracy, but just makes it easier for more censorship of websites in the future than private companies such as music rights holders disagree with for any reason.
Sites in the U.S have already been mistakenly taken offline and then brought back a year later, for example. If that’s someone’s sole earnings, then they’re utterly stuck for 12 months without cash, and presumably might not even know until one day their traffic drops off a cliff.
The only good thing is that at least I can avoid using ISPs that have complied with these court orders for the time being, along with using a VPS etc, and that it may encourage more people in the future to check out the Pirate Party, Open Rights Group, etc etc.
