Ilan is a 14-year-old boy dealing with the aftermath of his mother's death. Upon discovering that his father lied for years about his older sister's whereabouts, he flees his home to seek her out in Haifa. Throughout the film, Ilan deals with an unhealthy attachment to his sister while simultaneously acting as an "apprentice" to a rogue neighbor.
