Extreme Ghostbusters is an American animated television series that first hit the airwaves from September 1 to December 8, 1997. As a direct sequel to The Real Ghostbusters (1986–1991), the series jumps ahead several years to a time when the city of New York is once again threatened by a new wave of supernatural activity.
