The supporting cast included a veritable "Who's Who" of Indian talent: , Shabana Azmi , Tom Alter , Sadashiv Amrapurkar , Pallavi Joshi , Mita Vashisht , Anjan Srivastav , and a young Irrfan Khan , among many others. Behind the camera, the legendary cinematographer V. K. Murthy , famous for his work in Guru Dutt's films, was the Director of Photography. The editing team included a young Sanjay Leela Bhansali , who would later become one of India's most celebrated film directors.
