Despite his monstrous actions, Reese is not a simple villain. His ultimate dream was , and he was willing to do anything—including murdering other goblins who refused to join him—to see that dream come true. He felt genuine pain when he had to kill his own kind. After witnessing the honor of General Zel Shivertail, Reese even dedicated himself to killing the Necromancer, showing that he was not wholly evil. His tragedy lies in the fact that he was a puppet, manipulated by Az’kerash into becoming a weapon of mass destruction when all he ever wanted was a home.
