Before resorting to FileCR, consider these legitimate ways to achieve a "lite" Windows experience:
Windows 10 LTSC is an version of Windows 10 designed for special‑purpose devices. It excludes many consumer features (Cortana, Microsoft Store, Edge browser) and receives only security updates—no feature updates—for up to 10 years. While LTSC is typically sold to volume‑license customers, a 90‑day evaluation ISO can be downloaded directly from Microsoft for testing purposes. For low‑end machines, LTSC provides a legitimate, Microsoft‑supported lightweight option.
Lite versions often disable Windows Update or remove components required for proper updating. This leaves your system vulnerable to known security exploits that have been patched in official versions.
