Kim Su-min, an orphan from the countryside, moves to Seoul and struggles financially. He works odd jobs, including at a factory and as a substitute driver. One night, he picks up a wealthy passenger, Lee Jae-min, who immediately shows interest in him. Su-min resists at first, but they eventually begin a secret, intense relationship. However, their different social standings, family pressures, and Jae-min's impending arranged marriage push the story toward a shocking, violent climax — followed by a hauntingly hopeful ending.
