Adi Kapyare Kootamani is not a cinematic masterpiece in the technical sense. Its lighting is amateurish, the sound design is thin, and the climax resolves a bit too conveniently. Yet, it is a masterpiece of relatable comedy. For anyone who has lived in a cramped, smelly, but joyful men’s hostel, this film is a documentary.
